What the hell is this food?

I’ve been in HK for over a year and my Chinese language hasn’t really improved. I get confused with Putogwa and the different Cantonese variations around China when I travel, so I’ve pretty much learnt all I can.

Also it’s a fact that Chinese don’t expect you to speak Chinese – so it knocks you back a bit if they ask you to repeat what you just said.

Anyway, went to a small café ¡nd tried use my piss poor Cantonese to order a small soya drink for my friends, this is what we got instead.

Yes it was a bread type of thing. I proceeded to eat a bit with chopsticks and got alot of strange looks – no way was I going to pick it up with my fingers, unless I wanted to be ill…
