Waste of money to No Money
I noticed that The Peak Cafe an automatic air conditioner that blasts cool air outside to customers walking. My first thought was what a waste of money and what benefit would it have, would a potential customer walking by think “Which restaurant shall I go to, ah I see Peak Cafe has an outside air conditioner - therefore they must be rich and popular, therefore the food must be nice…”. Also there’s a restaurant owned by a famous chef (the name escapes me but it’s in Causeway Bay). Anyway, inside the restaurant is a huge Jade statue of the chef himself, now that’s a waste of money! If times are tough and he has to sell it, who would really want this statue of this old guy?
As for no money, I see many businesses closing down only for a new one to appear a few days later or a 7/11 to replace it. I guess times and rents are tough, but I see that The Gypsy on Mid Levels has been replaced by The Phoenix and looks to be run by the same owners. Now, I guess what this Restaurant really needs isn’t a new logo or title, but customers! It’s still as empty as ever…
