Hong Kong Designer - Diary

Whilst walking around the streets of HK, you’d be hard pushed not to come across people distributing leaflets. Most people here don’t accept the hand outs, instead dodging being touched a la Keanu Reeves style when he was ducking bullets in the Matrix. The leaflet guys are pretty pushy, having witnessed on more than one occasion them chasing after unwilling pedestrians down the street or bugging people outside Supermarkets.

Those who do take the leaflets usually end up using them as fans, which are pretty useful in this hot weather! As a Gweillio, I don’t get bothered to often - accept for all the crappy junk mail that appears daily in my mailbox or under my front door. However, Gweillio’s don’t get away with it that easy as we have to shoo away suit sellers and shifty eyed copy-watch merchants. I’d prefer the leaflets!
