I know that in some larger banks, guards are armed inside. But the guys I saw were flashing their weapons around in the street. The damage from having someone seriously injured from those guns will cost the security company much more than the insurance premiums it pays in case something does get stolen. Didn't they have that spate of armed robberies in the 80's and 90's. I think it was when 14k streamed over the border. But not too sure on my criminal history. Perhaps it's more professional to hold the shoulder in the stock, barrel lowered. That way the shotgun is already pointing in the direction you want it to shoot. Holding it, shouldered (barrel up, stock down), is nice and pretty but will probably get you shot quicker while you fumble to get in the right position. Arms handling 101.
