Secrets and a Bit of History
Whenever I tell my Chinese colleagues that I’m starting to learn how to cook Chinese food, they always end up asking me if I know the Chinese secret of how to cook rice. Hmm, I guess it seems an easy task - but no! The secret is to wash it many times then fill the rice container with water upto your little finger. Too much water and the rice will be soggy, too little and you’ll have burnt stuff. Personally I think it’s due to the rice cooker, man those things are so useful.
Not really related (well it could be a hidden secret!). A Walled City was built in the gap between Hong Kong and China, left unregulated and home to 50,000 people in 2.6 hectres. See some scale drawings on this site.
