Chinese New Year 2011

CNY is approaching which is now the Year of the Rabbit. So what does it mean?

Well, I’m in China and seeing the decorations go up, supermarkets are packed with shoppers buying last minute stocks (particularly sweets!) and buying packets of red envelopers.

The year of the Rabbit for this Chinese New Year means those born under this sign are said to be ambitious, lucky, sensitive, creative and compassionate.

I thought the influence of the Rabbit means more sex will take place this year but in Chinese terms:

It tends to spoil those who like too much comfort and thus impair their effectiveness and sense of duty.

We will all have a tendency to put off disagreeable tasks as long as possible

Money can be made without too much labour.

For once, it may seem possible for us to be carefree and happy without too many annoyances.
