Gweilo
Back in 2003, it was the first time I was called “Gweilo” (A Chinese “racist” term for a white person). I was trying to get a bargain for a basketball for a knock down price when he said the “Gwelio” word. Doesn’t bother me, got myself a cheap basketball in the end!
I also spent half the day looking for an Orange Mobile shop to credit my phone. Whilst searching, I remembered that I read somewhere that HK has the most mobile phone shops per capita in the world - that li’ fact didn’t help me and gave up trying…
