Cathay Pacific to take over Dragon Air?

I guess it was bound to happen, small fry in a big fish world.
By Cathay Pacific Airways closing a deal to take over smaller rival Dragon Air, it’ll benefit from access to routes between Hong Kong and mainland China.
Wondering if my Dragon Air points will be safe!
